What is Egyptian Sekhem?

Sekhem is an ancient Egyptian healing system which is passed from individual to individual through an initiation or attunement process similar to Reiki. 

An American healer, Patrick Zeigler, had a powerful initiatory experience whilst meditating in the great pyramid at Giza, and subsequently was guided and instructed by Sufis. These experiences allowed inspired him to (re)discover how to pass on the ability to access the Sekhem energy stream. This was the trigger for modern Sekhem. 

Sekhem, called Numen by the Greeks "The powers of the universe…of the divine" is literally translated as power or might. In the Eastern tradition Sekhem is visualized as the fiery serpent coiled at the base of the spine "The Kundalini". This serpent or snake power is the power of creation and regeneration. Fire is it’s operative element and this is the fire that creates, consumes and transforms in it’s process of enlightenment and healing.

Sekhem is a powerful transformational energy taught and practiced by the priesthood of ancient Egypt. There are references to Sekhem in scrolls and hieroglyphs dated c.2000 bc. 

Sekhem is ultimately connected with our own empowerment for both healing and spiritual development. Once initiated, all our healing work improves exponentially. Sekhem is considered by many to be more powerful than Reiki as it works on the five energy bodies simultaneously. This results in the avoidance of a prolonged healing crisis and is a great aid in spiritual development. 

Sekhem has a close connection with the Egyptian lion headed goddess Sekhmet, The Goddess of a Thousand Names. She destroys all that is no longer of value and brings healing into the world. Many people not connected with Egyptian archetypes experience the energies in different ways. Other powerful archetypes, saints and angels carry the same energy manifest to the same initiates. The energy is transmitted in a way that is most appropriate for each student.

What happens during a treatment

Your first visit will be slightly longer than subsequent treatments because it includes an assessment. 

As Sekhem is a holistic therapy all aspects of your lifestyle will be taken in to account, including such things as diet and general medical history. 

Sekhem employs 3d symbols which are linked to the science of the pyramids their energy is fundamentally unconditional love in its purest form. In healing sessions the practitioner will place their hands on, or near to, the body and pass the Sekhem energy to the recipient. Although from a very high level it is also grounding as a bridge is formed between heaven and earth. The experience is inspirational, healing and sometimes profoundly spiritual. 

Sekhem works on a totally different concept and philosophy to other energy healing systems, and although there are some similar sounding systems, none can compare with this high vibrational energy that works at the very soul level. It assists you in taking responsibility for your life, to heal, and grow.
